It's not pretty. It's not entirely effective. But it helps a LOT more than my previous vacuum setup for controlling the 180 degree spew from my Saf-T-Planer (which, by the way, I blame all of you for FORCING me to purchase!)

I guess having the shop in the garage (with my myriad other toys) helps sometimes. Standing around thinking "How can I control the crazy sawdust trajectory from this planer?" and I noticed the rain cover for our jog stroller. It fits like it was made for the drill press - even two slots to fit my arms through. Plenty of vision through the plastic. With a little more velcro, I think I can hook the vaccum up to the bottom so all the chips/dust will (mostly) fall into the inlet.
Actually, thanks everyone for the Wagner tip. I was working on planing some walnut crotch burl for some rosettes and this little baby works perfectly!
